Sukta 10.31
स्तेगो न क्षामत्येति पृथ्वीं मिहं न वातो वि ह वाति भूम । मित्रो यत्र वरुणो अज्यमानोऽग्निर्वने न व्यसृष्ट शोकम् ॥
stegó ná kṣā́m áty eti pṛthvī́ṃ míhaṃ ná vā́to ví ha vāti bhū́ma | mitró yátra váruṇo ajyámāno ’gnír váne ná vy ásṛṣṭa śókam ||
Dort geht die treibende Kraft über die Erde hinaus; wie der Wind bläst sie den Dunst auseinander in der Weite. Dort ist Mitra, und Varuṇa, der gesalbt wird; dort hat Agni, wie im Wald, die Flamme seiner Glut freigesetzt.
