Sukta 1.88
एषा स्या वो मरुतोऽनुभर्त्री प्रति ष्टोभति वाघतो न वाणी । अस्तोभयद्वृथासामनु स्वधां गभस्त्योः ॥
eṣā́ syā́ vo maruto ’nubhartṛ́ī práti ṣṭobhati vāgháto ná vā́ṇī | ástobhayad vṛ́thā sāmánu svadhā́ṃ gábhastyoḥ ||
Dies ist eure Begleiterin und Stütze, o Maruts: diese Stimme, die mit Gesang antwortet wie die Rede des Lobpreisenden. Sie hat die Weisen frei strömend erklingen lassen, eurer eigenen svadhā folgend, in euren fassenden Händen, wo die Kräfte gehalten und gelenkt werden.
