Sukta 1.40
त्वामिद्धि सहसस्पुत्र मर्त्य उपब्रूते धने हिते । सुवीर्यं मरुत आ स्वश्व्यं दधीत यो व आचके ॥
tvā́m íd dhi sáhasas-putra mártya upabrūté dháne hité | su-vī́ryaṃ maruta ā́ svaśvyaṃ dádhīta yó va ācaké ||
Denn dich, o Sohn der Stärke, ruft der Sterbliche an, wenn das Ziel der Gewinn ist. O Maruts, wer zu euch herangetreten ist, legt in sich heldische Kraft nieder und rechte Herrschaft über die Rosse — Energien, gezügelt für den Weg.
