आ वो मक्षू तनाय कं रुद्रा अवो वृणीमहे । गन्ता नूनं नोऽवसा यथा पुरेत्था कण्वाय बिभ्युषे ॥
Transliteration
ā́ vo makṣū́ tánāya káṃ rudrā́ ávo vṛṇīmahe | gántā nū́naṃ no'vásā yáthā purétthā kaṇvā́ya bibhyúṣe ||
Translation
Zu euch, o Rudras, wählen wir eilends den Beistand — zum Gedeihen unseres Geschlechts. Kommt nun zu uns mit eurem Schutz, wie ihr einst in gleicher Weise zu Kaṇva kamt, als er sich fürchtete.
