Sukta 1.33
अनु स्वधामक्षरन्नापो अस्यावर्धत मध्य आ नाव्यानाम् । सध्रीचीनेन मनसा तमिन्द्र ओजिष्ठेन हन्मनाहन्नभि द्यून् ॥
ánu svadhā́m akṣaran nā́po asyā́vardhata mádhya ā́ nā́vyānām | sadhrīcīnéna mánasā tám indra ójiṣṭhena hánmanā ahann abhí dyū́n ||
Da flossen die Wasser nach ihrem eigenen Gesetz (svadhā), und in der Mitte wuchsen die frischen Strömungen. Mit geradlinigem Sinn schlug Indra ihn mit dem mächtigsten Kiefer; er brach durch bis zu den leuchtenden Tagen und zerriss die Fessel, die das Licht am Hervortreten hinderte.
