Sukta 1.143
न यो वराय मरुतामिव स्वनः सेनेव सृष्टा दिव्या यथाशनिः । अग्निर्जम्भैस्तिगितैरत्ति भर्वति योधो न शत्रून्त्स वना न्यृञ्जते ॥
na yo varāya marutām iva svanaḥ senāiva sṛṣṭā divyā yathāśaniḥ | agnir jambhais tigitair atti bharvati yodho na śatrūn sa vanā ny ṛñjate ||
Er weicht nicht zurück – wie das Brausen der Maruts, wie ein entlassenes Heer, wie ein himmlischer Blitz. Mit scharfen Kiefern frisst und verzehrt Agni; wie ein Kämpfer streckt er die Feinde nieder – er lichtet die Wälder von innerem Hemmnis.
