yád vo agnír ájahād ékam áṅgaṃ pitṛlokáṃ gamáyan jātávedāḥ | tád va etát púnar ā́ pyāyayāmi sā́ṅgāḥ svargé pitáro mādayadhvam ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What limb of you Agni, Jātavedas, conveying (you) to the Fathers’ world, left behind—this very thing I now again restore unto you. Whole-limbed in heaven, O Fathers, rejoice ye.

Translation

Welches Glied von euch Agni, Jātavedas, als er (euch) in die Welt der Väter geleitete, zurückließ — eben dieses stelle ich euch jetzt wieder her. Gliederganz im Himmel, o Väter, freut euch.
