परा॑ यात पितरः सो॒म्यासो॑ गम्भी॒रैः प॒थिभिः॑ पू॒र्याणैः॑ । अधा॑ मा॒सि पुन॒रा या॑त नो गृ॒हान् ह॒विरत्तुं॑ सुप्र॒जसः॑ सु॒वीराः॑
párā yāta pitaraḥ somyā́so gambhīráiḥ pathíbhiḥ pūryā́naiḥ | ádha mā́si púnar ā́ yāta no gṛhā́n havír áttum suprajā́saḥ suvī́rāḥ ||
Depart, O Fathers, soma-loving, by the deep paths, the ancient ways. Then, in the month, come ye again unto our homes to eat the oblation—ye of good progeny, ye of good heroes.
Zieht hinweg, o Väter, soma‑liebend, auf den tiefen Pfaden, den uralten Wegen. Dann, im Monat, kommt wieder zu unseren Häusern, um die Opfergabe zu essen — ihr mit guter Nachkommenschaft, ihr mit guten Helden.
