Rig Veda 7.29.5: Mandala 7, Sukta 29, Mantra 5

Sukta 7.29

Rishi: Vasiṣṭha (Vasiṣṭha family hymns dominate Maṇḍala 7; this verse continues the Indra praise typical of Vasiṣṭha diction)
Devata: Indra (with an implicit collective of Indra’s protective powers in ‘yūyam’)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh (11-syllable cadence typical of Indra hymns in Maṇḍala 7; this verse conforms to the triṣṭubh movement)
