这首仅两颂的短歌召请苏帕尔那/施耶那——迅疾而目光锐利的神鸟——作为吉祥的载运者;它与因陀罗结盟,越过荒野、水域与下界诸处而顺利抵达。全诗作为护身的“成功传送”咒法:确保所求之力或恩赐安全到来,并使被掠夺、被携走的财物得以复归,且以祖灵(Pitṛ)之认可与安定为凭。

सुपर्णः। अति॒ धन्वा॒न्यत्य॒पस्त॑तर्द श्ये॒नो नृ॒चक्षा॑ अवसानद॒र्शः । तर॒न् विश्वा॒न्यव॑रा॒ रजां॒सीन्द्रे॑ण॒ सख्या॑ शि॒व आ ज॑गम्यात्
金翅者——越过荒原,越过诸水,隼已强行穿行;为人而锐目,得见安歇之所。横渡一切下层空界诸域,与因陀罗为友,愿其吉祥而来至此处。

श्ये॒नो नृ॒चक्षा॑ दि॒व्यः सु॑प॒र्णः स॒हस्र॑पाच्छ॒तयो॑निर्वयो॒धाः । स नो॒ नि य॑च्छाद् वसु॒ यत् परा॑भृतम॒स्माक॑मस्तु पि॒तृषु॑ स्व॒धाव॑त्
如鹰隼,洞察人间;天界之神鸟,善翼翩然;千足、百源之所出,赐予精力者。愿他把被夺去的福善归还于我等;愿属于我等之物,在祖灵(Pitṛ)之中安稳无虞,具足svadhā之丰饶。
It is used for safe and successful arrival (of a person, message, help, or boon) and for restoring valuables that have been taken or gone missing, while protecting rightful possession.
Indra represents victorious force and overcoming resistance; the hymn frames the falcon’s swift transit and success as empowered by Indra’s friendship (sakhya).
It asks that one’s goods remain secure under ancestral authority—svadhā signifies the Pitṛs’ sustaining power and a juridical-sacral guarantee that what is ‘ours’ stays protected.
