Devi Upanishad 10: Verse 10
तामग्निवर्णां तपसा ज्वलन्तीं वैरोचनीं कर्मफलेषु जुष्टाम् ।
दुर्गां देवीं शरणमहं प्रपद्ये सुतरां नाशयते तमः ॥
देवीं वाचमजनयन्त देवास्तां विश्वरूपाः पशवो वदन्ति ।
सा नो मन्द्रेषमूर्जं दुहाना धेनुर्वागस्मानुपसुष्टुतैतु ॥
ताम् । अग्नि-वर्णाम् । तपसा । ज्वलन्तीम् । वैरोचनीम् । कर्म-फलेषु । जुष्टाम् ।
दुर्गाम् । देवीम् । शरणम् । अहम् । प्रपद्ये । सु-तराम् । नाशयते । तमः ।
देवीम् । वाचम् । अजनयन्त । देवाः । ताम् । विश्व-रूपाः । पशवः । वदन्ति ।
सा । नः । मन्द्रेषम् । ऊर्जम् । दुहाना । धेनुः । वाक् । अस्मान् । उप-सुष्टुत् । एतु ।
tām agni-varṇāṃ tapasā jvalantīṃ vairocanīṃ karma-phaleṣu juṣṭām |
durgāṃ devīṃ śaraṇam ahaṃ prapadye su-tarāṃ nāśayate tamaḥ |
devīṃ vācam ajanayanta devās tāṃ viśva-rūpāḥ paśavo vadanti |
sā no mandreṣam ūrjaṃ duhānā dhenuḥ vāk asmān upa-suṣṭut etu |
Con xin nương tựa nơi Nữ Thần ấy—sắc như lửa, rực cháy bởi khổ hạnh, chói ngời, hoan hỷ trong quả của nghiệp—Durgā; Mẹ tiêu trừ bóng tối một cách trọn vẹn. Chư thiên đã sinh ra Nữ Thần Ngôn (Vāk); muôn loài với vô số hình tướng đều nói bằng Ngài. Nguyện Ngôn ấy, như bò mẹ ban dưỡng chất và lời ngọt lành cho chúng con, đến với chúng con cùng phúc tụng được tán dương.
I take refuge in that Goddess—fire-hued, blazing with austerity, radiant, delighting in the fruits of actions—(in) Durgā; she utterly destroys darkness. The gods generated the Goddess Speech; the many-formed creatures speak her. May that Speech, a cow yielding nourishment and sweet utterance for us, come to us with well-praised (benediction).
