Sukta 9.89

राजा सिन्धूनामवसिष्ट वास ऋतस्य नावमारुहद्रजिष्ठाम् । अप्सु द्रप्सो वावृधे श्येनजूतो दुह ईं पिता दुह ईं पितुर्जाम् ॥

Transliteration

rājā́ síndhūnām avasiṣṭa vā́sa ṛtásya nā́vam ā́ruhad rájiṣṭhām | apsú drapsó vāvṛdhe śyená-jūto dúha īm pitā́ dúha īm pitúr jām ||

Translation

Hỡi Vasiṣṭha, vua của các dòng sông, ngài đã khoác y phục; ngài đã lên con thuyền nhanh nhất của ṛta (trật tự chân chính). Trong các làn nước, giọt ấy lớn lên, được sức mạnh chim ưng thúc đẩy; Người Cha vắt ngài ra, và ngài lại vắt ra mối thân tộc của Người Cha.
