होताजनिष्ट चेतनः पिता पितृभ्य ऊतये । प्रयक्षञ्जेन्यं वसु शकेम वाजिनो यमम् ॥
Transliteration
hótā́ janiṣṭa cétenaḥ pitā́ pitṛ́bhyā ūtáye | prayákṣañ jényam vásu śakéma vājíno yámam ||
Translation
Hotṛ đã được sinh ra—tỉnh giác, rực sáng—như một Người Cha, để trợ giúp các Bậc Cha (Pitṛ). Dâng lễ tiến về phía trước, nguyện chúng ta có thể giành được kho báu cao quý—yama của các vājins: sự tiết chế và trật tự đúng đắn mang sức lực đến đích.
