रुरोस्तु दानवेन्द्रस्य चर्ममुण्डे क्षणाद् यतः । अपहृत्याहरद् देवी चामुण्डा तेन साभवत् ॥
rurostu dānavendrasya carmamuṇḍe kṣaṇād yataḥ | apahṛtyāharad devī cāmuṇḍā tena sābhavat ||
چونکہ دیوی نے دانوؤں کے سردار رُرو سے ایک ہی لمحے میں ‘چرم’ اور ‘مُنڈ’ کو چھین کر لے گئی، اسی سبب وہ ‘چامُنڈا’ کے نام سے مشہور ہوئی۔
