तस्या गर्भे महाभागे भविष्यामि न संशयः ॥ वासुदेव इति ख्यातो देवानामरिमर्दनः ॥

اسی نہایت سعادت مندہ کے رحم میں میں بے شک جلوہ گر ہوں گا، اس میں کوئی شک نہیں۔ میں ‘واسودیو’ کے نام سے مشہور ہوں گا، دیوتاؤں کے دشمنوں کو کچلنے والا۔
