यत्पुरुषेणेत्यनया सृष्टियज्ञः समीरितः । सप्तास्यासन्परिधयः समिधश्च समीरिताः ॥

IAST Transliteration

yat-puruṣeṇeti anayā sṛṣṭi-yajñaḥ samīritaḥ | saptāsyāsan paridhayaḥ samidhaś ca samīritāḥ ||

Translation

(رِگ وید کے) اُس منتر سے جو “یَتْ پُرُشےṇa…” سے آغاز ہوتا ہے، سَرشٹی یَجْن یعنی تخلیق کا یَجْن بیان کیا گیا؛ اور اسی کے ذریعے سات پَریِدھی (گھیرنے والی لکڑیاں) اور سَمِدھ (ایندھن کی لکڑیاں) بھی مذکور ہوئیں۔

Academic Translation

By the (Ṛgvedic) formula beginning “yat puruṣeṇa…”, the sacrifice that is creation is declared; and by it the seven enclosing-sticks (paridhi-s) and the fuel-sticks (samidh-s) are also stated.
