Avadhuta Upanishad 8: Verse 8
कृत्स्नमेतच्चित्रं कर्म । स्वैरं न विगायेत् तन्महाव्रतम् । न स मूढवल्लिप्यते ॥८॥
कृत्स्नम् । एतत् । चित्रम् । कर्म । स्वैरम् । न । विगायेत् । तत् । महा-व्रतम् । न । सः । मूढ-वत् । लिप्यते ॥८॥
kṛtsnam etac citraṃ karma | svairaṃ na vigāyet tanmahāvratam | na sa mūḍhavad lipyate ||8||
یہ سارا کرم ایک رنگا رنگ تماشا ہے۔ اسے اپنی مرضی سے گایا نہ جائے، یعنی اس کی نمائش نہ کی جائے—یہی مہاوَرت (عظیم عہد) ہے۔ وہ گمراہ کی طرح آلودہ نہیں ہوتا۔
All this action is a variegated display. One should not sing it out (i.e., not proclaim/celebrate it) at will; that is the great vow. He is not tainted like the deluded.
