Sukta 1.40
उप क्षत्रं पृञ्चीत हन्ति राजभिर्भये चित्सुक्षितिं दधे । नास्य वर्ता न तरुता महाधने नार्भे अस्ति वज्रिणः ॥
úpa kṣatráṃ pṛñcīt hánti rājábhir bhayé cít su-kṣitíṃ dadhé | nā́syá vartā́ ná tarutā́ mahā-dhánē nā́rbhe asti vajríṇaḥ ||
وہ اپنی حکومت کو مضبوط کرتا ہے، وہ بادشاہوں کو گراتا ہے، خوف کے درمیان بھی اچھا ٹھکانا بناتا ہے۔ بجلی کے ہتھیار رکھنے والے کے لیے کوئی روکنے والا نہیں، کوئی جیتنے والا نہیں، نہ بڑے مقابلے میں نہ چھوٹے میں: مزاحمت توڑنے والی طاقت کو روکا نہیں جا سکتا۔
