ततो विषण्णौ श्रान्तौ च शत्रुघ्नभरतावुभौ।।।।धरण्यां संव्यवेष्टेतां भग्नशृङ्गाविवर्षभौ।
tato viṣaṇṇau śrāntau ca śatrughnabharatāv ubhau | dharaṇyāṃ saṃvyaveṣṭetāṃ bhagnaśṛṅgāv ivarṣabhau ||
پھر بھرت اور شترُگھن—دونوں غم سے نڈھال اور تھکن سے چور—زمین پر یوں تڑپتے ہوئے گر پڑے جیسے دو بیل جن کے سینگ ٹوٹ گئے ہوں۔
