सम्मार्जनविहीनानि परुषाण्युपलक्षये ॥३७॥
असंयत कवाटानि श्रीविहीनानि सर्वशः ।
बलिकर्मविहीनानि धूपसम्मोदनेन च ॥३८॥
अनाशितकुटुम्बानि प्रभाहीनजनानि च ।
अलक्ष्मीकानि पश्यामि कुटुम्बिभवनान्यहम् ॥३९॥
sammārjanavihīnāni paruṣāṇyupalakṣaye ||37||
asaṃyata kavāṭāni śrīvihīnāni sarvaśaḥ |
balikarmavihīnāni dhūpasammodanena ca ||38||
anāśitakuṭumbāni prabhāhīnajanāni ca |
alakṣmīkāni paśyāmi kuṭumbibhavanānyaham ||39||
میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ گھرانوں کے آنگن بے جھاڑے اور گرد آلود ہیں، دروازے بے قفل و بے نگہبانی پڑے ہیں، اور ہر سمت سے ان کی سابقہ شان و شوکت رخصت ہو چکی ہے۔ نہ نذرانہ و بلی کی رسم ادا ہو رہی ہے، نہ دھوپ کی خوشبو دل کو مسرور کرتی ہے۔ خاندان گویا بے طعام ہیں، لوگ نورِ چہرہ سے خالی دکھائی دیتے ہیں—ہر گھر پر بدبختی کی چھاپ نظر آتی ہے۔
I see the unswept homes of householders standing dirty with doors not closed. There is no beauty anywhere. No one offers oblations (at the time of worship). There is no fragrance of burning incense. The families have no food to eat. The people look cheerless. I see inauspiciousness everywhere.
