brahmagávī atimā́tram avardhanta nódiva dívam aspṛśan | bhṛ́guṃ hiṃsitvā́ sṛñjayā́ vaitahavyā́ḥ parā́bhavan ||
The brahman-cows waxed beyond measure; yet reached they not, as though from on high, unto the heaven. Having done hurt to Bhṛgu, the Sṛñjayas—the Vaitahavyas—fell to overthrow.
Rishi: Bhṛgu lineage implied (named Bhṛgu as focal figure); anukramaṇī attribution may vary
Devata: Brahman (as sacral property-power) and historical retribution
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like (probable; requires metrical scan)
Primary: vira
Secondary: raudra
