یہ مختصر رگ وید سے ماخوذ اتر وید کا بھجن ستائش کو ایک فعال قوت کے طور پر روانہ کرتا ہے: میٹھے، تیز رفتار ستوم اس طرح اٹھتے ہیں جیسے رتھ دولت اور فتح کا انعام جیتنے کے لیے۔ پھر یہ کامیابی کو اندر کی حفاظت میں رکھتا ہے، فاتح کا جائز حصہ محفوظ کرتا ہے، دشمن حریفوں کو ناکام بناتا ہے، اور قربانی کے عمل میں ایک غیر منقطع، اچھی طرح قائم شدہ منتر رکھتا ہے تاکہ رکاوٹیں پار کر لی جائیں۔

उदु॒ त्ये मधु॑मत्तमा॒ गिर॒ स्तोमा॑स ईरते । स॒त्रा॒जितो॑ धन॒सा अक्षि॑तोतयो वाज॒यन्तो॒ रथा॑ इव
اوپر، ہاں آگے، یہ میٹھے گیت، یہ ستائش کے گانے اٹھائے جاتے ہیں۔ ہمیشہ فاتح، دولت کے ساتھ، ایسی مددوں کے ساتھ جو کبھی ناکام نہیں ہوتیں، وہ رتھوں کی طرح انعام کی طرف تیز جاتے ہیں۔

कण्वा॑ इव॒ भृग॑वः॒ सूर्या॑ इव॒ विश्व॒मिद्धी॒तमा॑नशुः । इन्द्रं॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्म॒हय॑न्त आ॒यवः॑ प्रि॒यमे॑धासो अस्वरन्
کنوؤں کی طرح، بھگوؤں کی طرح، سورجوں کی طرح، انہوں نے پورا، ہاں سب، پوتر سوچ سے جیت لیا۔ اپنی ستائشوں سے اندر کی بڑائی کرتے ہوئے، آیو اور پریامدھا نے اپنا گیت بلند کیا۔

उदिन्न्व॑स्य रिच्य॒तेंऽशो धनं॒ न जि॒ग्युषः॑ । य इन्द्रो॒ हरि॑वा॒न्न द॑भन्ति॒ तं रिपो॒ दक्षं॑ दधाति सो॒मिनि॑
آگے، ابھی، اس کا حصہ بہایا جاتا ہے، فاتح کے لیے دولت کی طرح۔ جسے اندر، سنہرے گھوڑے والا، کوئی نہیں روک سکتا، اس پر دشمن تسلط نہیں دیتا؛ بلکہ وہ سوم پیش کرنے والے میں طاقت قائم کرتا ہے۔

मन्त्र॒मख॑र्वं॒ सुधि॑तं सु॒पेश॑सं॒ दधा॑त य॒ज्ञिये॒ष्वा। पू॒र्वीश्च॒न प्रसि॑तयस्तरन्ति तं य इन्द्रे॒ कर्म॑णा॒ भुव॑त्
وہ ایک منتر - جو نہ ٹوٹ سکے، اچھی طرح قائم، خوبصورت ساخت والا - یجنیہ کارناموں میں رکھتا ہے۔ پہلے کے اِندھن بھی اس سے آگے بڑھ جاتے ہیں، جو عمل سے اندر میں ہستی رکھتا ہے۔
For prosperity with victory: it propels praise as a winning force, seeks wealth and the rightful ‘share,’ and asks Indra to make the performer hard to defeat and the rite obstacle-free.
It treats stoma (praise) as an active vehicle: well-formed speech is imagined to speed to the prize (vāja), bringing success and gain to the patron.
It is soma-colored (somin, Indra context), but it can be recited more generally as an Indra victory-stuti; a simple offering and focused intention can substitute outside a soma sacrifice.
