Sukta 2
द्वि॒भा॒ग॒ध॒नमा॒दाय॒ प्र क्षि॑णा॒त्यव॑र्त्या । अ॒ग्निः पु॒त्रस्य॑ ज्ये॒ष्ठस्य॒ यः क्र॒व्यादनि॑राहितः
dvibhāgádhanam ādā́ya prá kṣiṇā́ty àvartyā́ | agníḥ putrásya jyéṣṭhasya yáḥ kravyā́do ’nirāhitaḥ
Taking the twofold portion of wealth, he wasteth it utterly by returning again:—that Agni, the flesh-devourer, not duly established, (preyeth) upon the eldest son.
دوگنا دولت کا حصہ لے کر، وہ اسے واپس آ کر برباد کر دیتا ہے: وہ اگنی، گوشت کھانے والا، جو صحیح طرح قائم نہیں، وہ سب سے بڑے بیٹے پر حملہ کرتا ہے۔
