Sukta 4.2
यस्त्वा दोषा य उषसि प्रशंसात्प्रियं वा त्वा कृणवते हविष्मान् । अश्वो न स्वे दम आ हेम्यावान्तमंहसः पीपरो दाश्वांसम् ॥
yás tvā doṣā́ yá uṣási praśáṃsāt priyáṃ vā tvā kṛṇávate havíṣmān | áśvo ná své dáma ā́ hemyā́vān tám áṃhasaḥ pī́paro dā́śvāṃsam ||
Ang nagpupuri sa iyo sa gabi at sa pagsikat ng araw, o ang nagpapakita sa iyo ng pagmamahal sa pamamagitan ng kanyang alay, tulad ng kabayo sa sarili nitong kulungan, umuwi ka sa kanya. O Agni, ikaw na humahawak ng pamalo, dalhin mo ang nagkakaloob na iyan sa kabila ng kasawian at paghihikahos.
