Sukta 2.9
विधेम ते परमे जन्मन्नग्ने विधेम स्तोमैरवरे सधस्थे । यस्माद्योनेरुदारिथा यजे तं प्र त्वे हवींषि जुहुरे समिद्धे ॥
vidhéma te paramé jánmann agne vidhéma stómair ávare sádhaste | yasmā́d yóner udā́rithā́ yáje táṃ prá tve havī́ṃṣi juhure sámiddhe ||
Nais naming maglingkod sa iyo sa iyong kataas-taasang kapanganakan, O Agni; nais naming maglingkod sa iyo sa aming mga himno sa mababang upuan ng pagpapakita. Mula sa anumang sinapupunan ikaw ay nagbangon paitaas, doon ka inihahandog: kaya't kapag ikaw ay sinindihan, ang mga alay ay ibinubuhos pasulong sa iyo.
