Sukta 2.2
वयमग्ने अर्वता वा सुवीर्यं ब्रह्मणा वा चितयेमा जनाँ अति । अस्माकं द्युम्नमधि पञ्च कृष्टिषूच्चा स्वर्ण शुशुचीत दुष्टरम् ॥
vayám agne árvātā vā su-vī́ryaṃ bráhmaṇā vā citayemā jánāṃ áti | asmā́kaṃ dyumnám ádhi páñca kṛ́ṣṭiṣū́ccā́ svàrṇá śuśucīta dúṣṭaram ||
Kami, oh Agni, sa pamamagitan ng kabayo ng lakas o sa kapangyarihan ng mantra, ay tataas sa lampas sa mga limitasyon ng tao. Ang ating liwanag na kaluwalhatian ay tumayo sa itaas ng limang tribo; magniningning nang mataas tulad ng liwanag ng katotohanan ng araw, na mahirap salakayin, at hindi maaring tawirin.
