तपस्विनाम् औत्सुक्यं राक्षसत्रासश्च
Ascetics’ Anxiety and the Fear of Rakshasas
न कच्चिद्भगवन्किञ्चित्पूर्ववृत्तमिदं मयि ।
दृश्यते विकृतं येन विक्रियन्ते तपस्विनः ॥५॥
na kaccid bhagavan kiñcit pūrvavṛttam idaṃ mayi |
dṛśyate vikṛtaṃ yena vikriyante tapasvinaḥ ||5||
“Kagalang-galang na Bhagavan, may nakikita po ba kayong anumang pagkukulang sa aking dating asal—anumang pagbabago sa akin—na siyang ikinabagabag ng mga tapasin?”
O revered sire, have you seen any change in my conduct? For what reason are the sages looking perturbed?
