Sukta 10.45
उशिक्पावको अरतिः सुमेधा मर्तेष्वग्निरमृतो नि धायि । इयर्ति धूममरुषं भरिभ्रदुच्छुक्रेण शोचिषा द्यामिनक्षन् ॥
uśík-pāvákó aratíḥ su-medhā́ márteṣv agnír amṛ́to ní dhāyi | iyárti dhūmám aruṣáṃ bharíbhrad út śukréṇa śocíṣā dyā́m inakṣan ||
เปลวไฟผู้เร่าร้อน ผู้ชำระให้บริสุทธิ์และผู้นำทางอันดี ปัญญาอันสว่างไสว—อัคนี (Agni) ผู้เป็นอมฤตถูกสถิตไว้ท่ามกลางมนุษย์ผู้มรณะ เขาส่งควันสีแดงเรื่อขึ้นสู่เบื้องบน แบกพาขึ้นไป; และด้วยเปลวรัศมีอันผ่องใส เขาเอื้อมถึงและแตะต้องสวรรค์.
