Rudra’s Hymn: Vision of Nārāyaṇa, the Emergence of the Ādityas, and the Mutual Boon of Hari and Hara
viṣṇur uvāca | sarvajñas tvaṃ na saṃdeho jñānarāśiḥ sanātanaḥ | devānāṃ ca paraṃ pūjyaḥ sarvadā tvaṃ bhaviṣyasi || 73.41 ||
Viṣṇu
It reflects a common Purāṇic dialogic technique: a divine speaker authorizes the status of the interlocutor through formal praise, reinforcing the authority and transmission of knowledge within the narrative frame.
No geographic location is named in this verse; it is focused on personal qualification (omniscience, honor-worthiness) rather than sacred geography.
The verse foregrounds epistemic and social ethics: true knowledge (jñāna) and enduring integrity are presented as grounds for legitimate honor and esteem.
