Rudra’s Hymn: Vision of Nārāyaṇa, the Emergence of the Ādityas, and the Mutual Boon of Hari and Hara
rudra uvāca | brahmaṇā’haṃ niyuktas tu prajāḥ sṛja iti prabho | tatra jñānaṃ prayacchasva trividhaṃ bhūta-bhāvanam || 73.40 ||
Rudra
It reflects a common Purāṇic narrative structure in which cosmic functions (such as creation) are delegated among divine agents, framing creation as an ordered, knowledge-guided process rather than a purely spontaneous event.
No geographic location is specified in this verse; the content is cosmological and dialogical rather than topographical.
The verse emphasizes responsibility in action: creation (or any entrusted task) should be undertaken with appropriate knowledge, suggesting an ethic of informed stewardship and competence.
