kavír védhasyā páry eṣi mā́hinam átyo ná mṛṣṭó abhí vā́jam arṣasi | apasédhan duritā́ soma mṛḷaya ghṛtáṃ vásānaḥ pári yāsi nírṇijam ||

Translation

ఓ సోమా! నీవు కవియు వేదస్ (జ్ఞాత) వుగా, నీ విస్తారమైన మహిమలో సర్వత్రా పరిభ్రమిస్తావు. సుసంస్కృతమైన అశ్వంలా నీవు వాజ—బల-విజయ-పూర్ణ సమృద్ధి—వైపు వేగంగా దూసుకుపోతావు. దుఃఖపు వంకర గమనాలను తొలగించి, మాపై కరుణ చూపు. ఘృత (ghṛta) దీప్తితో ఆవృతుడై, నీవు చుట్టూ తిరిగి నిర్మిజ్ (nirmij: శుద్ధ తేజోమయ ఆవరణం) ను ధరించుతావు.
