शिशुर्न जातोऽव चक्रदद्वने स्वर्यद्वाज्यरुषः सिषासति । दिवो रेतसा सचते पयोवृधा तमीमहे सुमती शर्म सप्रथः ॥
śíśur ná jātó ’vá cakradad vánē svàr yád vājī́ aruṣáḥ sisāsati | divó rétasā sacate payovṛ́dhā tám īmahe sumatī́ śárma sapráthaḥ ||
నవజాత శిశువులా అతడు వనంలో కేక వేస్తాడు, అరుషుడు—బలవంతుడు—ప్రకాశం (స్వర్) కోరినప్పుడు. అతడు దివ్య రేతసుతో సంగమించి, పయస్సును—సమృద్ధి యొక్క పాలును—వృద్ధి చేస్తాడు. అతనినే మేము ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాము—విస్తారమైన శాంతికోసం, మరియు సుమతి—దీప్తమైన సన్మతి—అనే శర్మ (ఆశ్రయం) కోసం.
