अभि सोमास आयवः पवन्ते मद्यं मदम् । समुद्रस्याधि विष्टपि मनीषिणो मत्सरासः स्वर्विदः ॥
Transliteration
abhí sómāsa ā́yavaḥ pávante mádyaṃ mádam | samudrásyādhi viṣṭápi manīṣíṇo matsarā́saḥ svàr-vidaḥ ||
Translation
చలనానికి ఆతురమైన సోమధారలు తమను శుద్ధి చేసుకొని మధుర మద్య-ఆనందం, పరవశ మదంగా మారుతాయి. సముద్రపు విశాల ఆసనంపై అవి స్థిరపడతాయి—మనీషులు, మత్సర-వాహకులు, స్వర్విదః—సూర్యలోకం (స్వర్) కనుగొనువారు.
