प्र ब्रह्माणि नभाकवदिन्द्राग्निभ्यामिरज्यत । या सप्तबुध्नमर्णवं जिह्मबारमपोर्णुत इन्द्र ईशान ओजसा नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥

prá bráhmāṇi nabhā́kavad indrā́gníbhyām irajyata | yā́ saptá-budhnam arṇaváṃ jihmá-bāram aporṇutá índra ī́śāna ójasā nábhantām anyaké samé ||

నభాకుని విధంగా, ఇంద్ర-అగ్నుల కొరకు ‘బ్రహ్మాణి’ (స్తుతి-మంత్రాలు)ను ప్రేరేపించండి. ఏడు ఆధారాలున్న ‘అర్ణవ’ (మహాసముద్రం)ను, వంకర అడ్డం (జిహ్మ-బార)తో మూసిన ఆవరణాన్ని విప్పినవారు—ఆ ఇంద్రుడు, తన ఓజస్సుతో ఈశానుడు (అధిపతి)—అదే సమరక్షేత్రంలో ఇతరులు చెల్లాచెదురగుదురు గాక.
