अस्मा एतन्मह्याङ्गूषमस्मा इन्द्राय स्तोत्रं मतिभिरवाचि । असद्यथा महति वृत्रतूर्य इन्द्रो विश्वायुरविता वृधश्च ॥

Transliteration

asmā etan mahy āṅgūṣam asmā indrāya stotraṃ mati-bhir avāci | asad yathā mahati vṛtra-tūrye indro viśvāyur avitā vṛdhaś ca ||

Translation

ఆయనకై ఈ మహత్తర ప్రేరిత ఉచ్చారణ; ఇంద్రునికై ఈ స్తోత్రం—మా మతులచే పలికబడింది. అది జరిగినట్లే—మహా వృత్ర-తూర్య (వృత్రవధం) లో—అలాగే కావాలి: ఇంద్రుడు, సమస్త జీవశక్తి, అవితా (రక్షకుడు), వృద్ధకుడు.
