स पत्यत उभयोर्नृम्णमयोर्यदी वेधसः समिथे हवन्ते । वृत्रे वा महो नृवति क्षये वा व्यचस्वन्ता यदि वितन्तसैते ॥
Transliteration
sá patyate ubháyor nṛmṇám ayór yádī vedhásaḥ samithé hávante | vṛtré vā mahó nṛvátī kṣáye vā vyácasvantā yádi vitántasaite ||
Translation
సమరంలో వేదస్ (జ్ఞానమయ ఋత్విజులు) ఆయనను పిలిచినప్పుడు, ఆయన ఇరుపక్షాల నృమ్ణం (మానవ పరాక్రమం)కు అధిపతిగా అవుతాడు. వృత్రునికి వ్యతిరేకంగా అయినా, లేదా నరసమృద్ధిగల గృహంలో మహా వృద్ధి కోసం అయినా—విస్తారశీలులు (వ్యచస్వంత) తమ శక్తిని విస్తరించినప్పుడు, ఆయననే పైచేయి సాధిస్తాడు.
