Sukta 6.17
आ क्षोदो महि वृतं नदीनां परिष्ठितमसृज ऊर्मिमपाम् । तासामनु प्रवत इन्द्र पन्थां प्रार्दयो नीचीरपसः समुद्रम् ॥
ā́ kṣódo mahí vṛtáṃ nadī́nāṃ pári-sthitam asṛja ū́rmim apā́m | tā́sām ánu prá-vata índra pánthāṃ prā́rdayo nī́cīr ápasaḥ samudrám ||
నదులను చుట్టుముట్టిన మహా అవరోధాన్ని నీవు తొలగించావు; జలాల ఊర్మిని (అలలను) నీవు విడుదల చేశావు. ఓ ఇంద్రా! వాటి దిగువ ప్రవాహాన్ని అనుసరించి వాటికోసం మార్గాన్ని నీవు చీల్చావు; జలాలను క్రిందికి, పరిపూర్ణ సముద్రం వైపు నీవు ప్రేరేపించావు.
