Sukta 2.31
एता वो वश्म्युद्यता यजत्रा अतक्षन्नायवो नव्यसे सम् । श्रवस्यवो वाजं चकानाः सप्तिर्न रथ्यो अह धीतिमश्याः ॥
etā́ vo vaśmy údyatā yajatrā́ átakṣann ā́yavo návyase sám | śravasyávo vā́jaṃ cakānā́ḥ saptír ná rathyó áha dhī́tim aśyāḥ ||
ఈ వచనాలను నేను మీ కొరకు మలిచి, ఎత్తి, ప్రకటించుచున్నాను, హే యజ్య శక్తులారా; ఋషులు వీటిని నూతనంగా సమరసతగా నిర్మించారు. శ్రవస్ (యశస్సు-ప్రేరిత గుర్తింపు) కోరుతూ, వాజ (బల-సమృద్ధి) ఆశిస్తూ, మనము ఆ ధీతి (ప్రేరిత ఆలోచన)ను పొందుదాం—రథయోగ్యమైన, సుయోజిత అశ్వంలా—యాత్రామార్గంలో వేగంగా.
