Sukta 2.20
स वृत्रहेन्द्रः कृष्णयोनीः पुरंदरो दासीरैरयद्वि । अजनयन्मनवे क्षामपश्च सत्रा शंसं यजमानस्य तूतोत् ॥
sá vṛtra-héndraḥ kṛṣṇá-yonīḥ puram-daró dā́sīr airayad ví | ájanayan mánave kṣā́ma-paś ca satrā́ śáṃsaṃ yájamānasya tū́tot ||
వృత్రహన్ ఇంద్రుడు—కృష్ణయోని (అంధకారనివాసి), పురందరుడు—అంధకారంలో నివసించే దాసీ శక్తులను విడదీసి తరిమివేశాడు. మనువుకు క్షామ (పొలాలు/భూమి) మరియు అపః (జలాలు) ను జనింపజేశాడు; యజమానుని శంస (స్తుతి) ను సదా ప్రేరేపించాడు.
