Sukta 10.18
इमं जीवेभ्यः परिधिं दधामि मैषां नु गादपरो अर्थमेतम् । शतं जीवन्तु शरदः पुरूचीरन्तर्मृत्युं दधतां पर्वतेन ॥
imáṃ jīvébhyaḥ paridhíṃ dadhāmi máiṣāṃ nú gād áparo ártham etám | śatáṃ jīvantú śarádaḥ purūcī́r antár mṛtyúṃ dadhatā́ṃ párvatena ||
జీవుల కొరకు ఈ పరిధి-సీమను నేను స్థాపిస్తున్నాను; వీరిలో ఎవ్వరూ ఈ హద్దును దాటి ఆ పరమైన లక్ష్యం (మృతలోకం) వైపు పోకూడదు. వారు వంద శరదులు, అనేకముగా సంపూర్ణముగా, జీవించుగాక; మృత్యువును లోపలే నిలిపి బంధించుగాక—పర్వతం మూసినట్లుగా.
