Indra
ఈ చిన్న ఇంద్ర-సూక్తం, ఆగిపోయిన లేదా దాగి ఉన్నదాన్ని—రథాన్ని, సంకల్పాన్ని, సూర్యునినికూడా—ముందుకు నడిపించే దేవుడిగా ఇంద్రుని పునఃపునః సంబోధిస్తుంది. సోమార్పణకర్త పిలుపును వినే ఇంద్రుని కవి స్తుతిస్తాడు; బంధనాల వంటి నియంత్రణల నుంచి మానవుణ్ని విడిపించి, పరిమితి విధించే శక్తులను దాటి ప్రకాశాన్ని ముందుకు నడిపిస్తాడని ప్రశంసిస్తుంది.

त्वं त्यमिटतो रथमिन्द्र प्रावः सुतावतः । अशृणोः सोमिनो हवम् ॥
ఓ ఇంద్రా! సొమాన్ని పీడించే యజమానుని ఆ వేగవంతమైన రథాన్ని నీవు ముందుకు నడిపి రక్షించితివి; సొమినుని హవాన్ని నీవు వినితివి.

त्वं मखस्य दोधतः शिरोऽव त्वचो भरः । अगच्छः सोमिनो गृहम् ॥
నీవు మఖుని శిరస్సును తీసికొని పోయితివి, ఆవరణ-చర్మాన్ని తొలగించుచూ; మరియు నీవు సొమినుని గృహానికి వచ్చితివి.

त्वं त्यमिन्द्र मर्त्यमास्त्रबुध्नाय वेन्यम् । मुहुः श्रथ्ना मनस्यवे ॥
ఓ ఇంద్రా, ఆయుధశక్తి యొక్క దృఢాధారానికి మేల్కొనదగినవాడూ, మనస్సును అన్వేషించే సాధకునికి వాంఛనీయుడైన ఆ మర్త్యుణ్ని నీవు మళ్లీ మళ్లీ శిథిలపరచి విముక్తం చేసితివి; మనస్వికి అతని బంధనాలను విప్పితివి.

त्वं त्यमिन्द्र सूर्यं पश्चा सन्तं पुरस्कृधि । देवानां चित्तिरो वशम् ॥
ఓ ఇంద్రా, వెనుకనున్న ఆ సూర్యుణ్ని నీవు ముందుగా నిలుపుతివి; దేవుల పరిమిత వశానికీ అతీతంగా—ప్రకాశాన్ని మా దర్శనానికి ముందువరుసగా తీసుకురా.
