ఈ సంక్షిప్త పౌష్టిక సూక్తం రాజ్యాధికారాన్ని ‘స్థిరపరచి’ రాజును ఆకాశం, భూమి, పర్వతాలు వంటి కదలనీయని విశ్వాధారాలతో సమన్వయపరుస్తుంది; తద్వారా రాజ్యం అచలంగా నిలుస్తుంది. ధ్రువం (స్థిరత్వం)ను, అలాగే వరుణుడు, బృహస్పతి, ఇంద్రుడు, అగ్ని వంటి సార్వభౌమ ధారక దేవతలను ఆహ్వానించి, రాష్ట్రాన్ని స్థిరపరచి, శత్రు ప్రత్యర్థులను జయించి, సభను మరియు దిక్కులను ఏకమతంగా చేయమని ప్రార్థిస్తుంది.

రాజు ధృఢుడు. ద్యౌ (ఆకాశం) ధృఢం, పృథివి ధృఢం; ఈ సమస్త చర జగత్తు ధృఢం. ఈ పర్వతాలు ధృఢం; ప్రజల ఈ రాజు కూడా ధృఢుడు.

ध्रु॒वं ते॒ राजा॒ वरु॑णो ध्रु॒वं दे॒वो बृह॒स्पतिः॑ । ध्रु॒वं त॒ इन्द्र॑श्चा॒ग्निश्च॑ रा॒ष्ट्रं धा॑रयतां ध्रु॒वम्
నీ కొరకు రాజు వరుణుడు ధ్రువంగా (అచలంగా) ఉండుగాక; దేవుడు బృహస్పతিও ధ్రువంగా ఉండుగాక. నీ కొరకు ఇంద్రుడూ అగ్నీ ఈ రాష్ట్రాన్ని ధ్రువంగా—అచలంగా—ధరించుగాక.
