I, even I, of mine own self, speak this utterance, welcome to the Gods and likewise to men. Whom I desire—him, him I make a dread one: him a Brahman, him a Rishi, him of excellent understanding.
Rishi: Traditionally associated with Vāc/Brahmanic ‘aham’ persona (Anukramaṇī attribution varies in secondary tradition)
Devata: Vāc / Brahman (self-referential sacral speech)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (Atharvanic mixed; to be confirmed against pada-count in critical edition)
Primary: vira
Secondary: adbhuta
