अह॑श्च॒ रात्री॑ च परिष्क॒न्दौ मनो॑ विप॒थम्
áhaś ca rā́trī ca pariṣkandáu máno vipátham
Day and Night are the two encircling assailants; the mind (is prone to) the wrong path.
పగలు, రాత్రి—ఇద్దరు ‘పరిష్కంద’ (చుట్టుముట్టి దాడిచేసేవారు); మనస్సు (విపథానికి) తప్పుదారికి వాలుతుంది.
