Bhu Devi Dialogue: {"is_dialogue":true,"speaker_role":"instructor","bhu_devi_state":"attentive, curious; addressed implicitly as listener while being honored as the support of beings","key_question":"How and where can grave ritual impurity/sin (symbolized by the skull) be released through tīrtha-wandering and sacred acts?"}

Mathura Mandala: {"is_mathura_related":false,"parikrama_context":"General tīrtha-to-tīrtha wandering; not specified as Mathurā-maṇḍala parikramā.","krishna_connection":"None explicit; only a general Purāṇic tīrtha framework."}

Dharma Shastra: {"has_dharma_rule":false,"instruction_summary":"None explicit; narrative illustrates the limits of mere travel/bathing without the destined expiatory locus.","karmic_consequence":"Implied: unresolved pāpa/ṛṇa persists until the proper kṣetra/rite is met."}

Vrata Mahatmya: {"has_vrata":false}

Cosmic Boar Symbolism: {"has_symbolism":true,"symbolic_interpretation":"The ‘skull that will not fall’ functions as a karmic/ritual bond (pāśa) that cannot be severed by ordinary movement; tīrthas are liminal ‘crossings’ but require the correct cosmic junction (kṣetra-kāla) for release.","yajna_varaha_imagery":"None explicit; symbolism is indirect—tīrtha as yajña-crossing, skull as residual impurity clinging to the agent.","vedantic_connection":"Karma’s persistence (saṃskāra-bandha) until right knowledge/rite and the appropriate field (adhikāra-kṣetra) coincide; action alone may not dissolve binding without the ordained means."}

Philosophical Teaching: {"has_teaching":true,"teaching_type":"karma-and-ritual efficacy","core_concept":"Certain bonds persist until the proper means and locus are encountered; sacredness is graded and context-sensitive.","practical_application":"Do not treat pilgrimage as mechanical; seek proper guidance on the right kṣetra/rite for a given doṣa."}

FAQs

It reflects a common Purāṇic structure where sacred geography is mapped through itinerant movement, providing a literary lens on how tīrthas were conceptually networked.

The verse uses the generic expression 'tīrtha to tīrtha' rather than naming a specific site; named locations appear later in the sequence.

It emphasizes persistence and the limits of personal will—desire alone does not remove a burden; resolution is depicted as requiring an appropriate place/time or condition.
