Varāha (default dialogue frame)
It preserves a Purāṇic exemplum centered on Dhruva, a widely transmitted figure used in Sanskrit narrative literature to illustrate steadfast discipline and the attainment of an exalted ‘abode’ through sustained devotion.
No specific terrestrial location is named in this verse; the key place-term is ‘tat sthānam’—an exalted ‘abode/place’ (often read in Purāṇic contexts as a celestial or transcendent station rather than a mapped site).
The verse foregrounds disciplined practice—going to the forest (a trope for ascetic withdrawal) and focused worship—as a model of perseverance leading to an elevated state or recognition.
