गायन्ति चैतत् पितरः कदा तु वर्षामघातृप्तिमवाप्य भूयः । माघासितान्ते शुभतीर्थतोयैर्यास्याम तृप्तिं तनयादिदत्तैः ॥ १३.४९ ॥
gāyanti caitat pitaraḥ kadā tu varṣāmaghātṛptim avāpya bhūyaḥ | māghāsitānte śubhatīrthatoyair yāsyāma tṛptiṁ tanayād idattaiḥ || 13.49 ||
பித்ருக்கள் இவ்வாறு பாடுகின்றனர்—“வர்ஷா காலமும் அச் சடங்குகளும் மூலம் மீண்டும் திருப்தி அடைந்து, மாக மாதக் கிருஷ்ணபக்ஷ முடிவில், மகன்கள் முதலியோர் அளிக்கும் புனித தீர்த்தநீரால் எப்போது நாம் நிறைவு பெறுவோம்?”
