Outer meaning

Indra and Agni, delighting in the offering, moving with the chariot, slayers of Vṛtra and unconquered, are asked to awaken to this rite.

Inner meaning

When will (Agni) and illumined mind (Indra) take joy in the offering (tośāsā), they become dynamically mobile (rathayāvānā)—able to carry the seeker forward. As joint Vṛtra-slayers they break the covering resistance at both levels: Agni burns inertia; Indra cleaves ignorance. ‘Aparājitā’ affirms that these awakened powers cannot be defeated by the lower nature when sincerely invoked and fed by practice.

Universal truth

Spiritual progress requires joy and movement, not grim effort: when will and light delight in the offering, they become unconquerable forces that break obstruction.

Themes

Vṛtra-slaying, invitation (bodhatam), unconquered powers, dynamic progression
