Sukta 7.12
त्वं वरुण उत मित्रो अग्ने त्वां वर्धन्ति मतिभिर्वसिष्ठाः । त्वे वसु सुषणनानि सन्तु यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
tváṃ váruṇa utá mitró agne tvā́ṃ vardhanti matíbhir váṣiṣṭhāḥ | tvé vásu suṣaṇanā́ni santu yūyáṃ pāta svastíbhiḥ sádā naḥ ||
அக்னியே, நீ வருணனும் நீயே மித்ரனும்; வசிஷ்டர்கள் தங்கள் மதி (சிந்தனை-ஸ்துதி) யால் உன்னை வளர்க்கிறார்கள். உன்னுள் வசு (நன்மைச் செல்வம்)வும் சுஷணன (இன்பமளிக்கும் சாதனைகள்/வெற்றிகள்)வும் இருக்கட்டும்; மேலும் நீ (தேவர்கள்/அக்னி) எப்போதும் ஸ்வஸ்தியால் எங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பாயாக.
