Sukta 5.80
एषा प्रतीची दुहिता दिवो नॄन्योषेव भद्रा नि रिणीते अप्सः । व्यूर्ण्वती दाशुषे वार्याणि पुनर्ज्योतिर्युवतिः पूर्वथाकः ॥
eṣā́ pratī́cī duhitā́ divó nṝ́n yoṣéva bhadrā́ ní riṇīte ápsaḥ | vy-ūrṇvatī́ dāśúṣe vā́ryāṇi púner jyótir yuvatíḥ pū́rva-thā́kaḥ ||
இந்த உஷஸ் மீண்டும் திரும்பி வரும் திவ்-மகள்; அருள்மிகு பெண்ணைப் போல மனிதர்களைத் தன் செயல்வீரியமான அழகும் பணியும் நோக்கி இழுக்கிறாள்; மேலும் ‘அப்ஸः’ (நீர்மைகள்) ஒழுங்குபடச் செய்கிறாள். தானம் செய்பவனுக்காக விரும்பத்தக்க வரங்களை விரித்து, இளமையானவள் முன்னைப்போல் மீண்டும் ஒளியை நிறுவுகிறாள்.
